s-smile4

Thank you for choosing our office for all your dental needs! We have created a comfortable environment where you can feel confident in the level of care you receive.

What to Expect at Your First Dental Visit

During your first dental visit, our objective is to get to know you better, to become familiar with your past dental experiences and to establish a treatment plan that will best meet your current desires. When you arrive for your first visit, please be prepared to complete all insurance and health information forms.

Also, please assist us by providing the following information:

  • Any X-ray taken within the past year.
  • If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance card. This will enable us to give you an estimate of your costs.

Your initial dental exam will last approximately one hour. Your dentist will perform a thorough exam. In most cases, we will also clean your teeth. Generally, X-rays will be taken, allowing your dentist to examine your mouth for teeth decay, periodontal problems, jaw problems and any signs of oral cancer. These diagnostic records will help your dentist provide an evaluation outlining any existing dental problems and proposed treatment. We encourage you to ask questions. We'll be glad to discuss any concerns you may have.

What to Expect at Your First Orthodontic Visit

We look forward to meeting you at your first orthodontic visit. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient's orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve. Your first orthodontic visit will consist of an examination and discussion of potential treatment options. This important visit will address your orthodontic needs to determine if this is the proper time to begin treatment.

After we have evaluated your records, we conduct a treatment consultation to explain all aspects of your treatment in detail. We will provide a complete clinical diagnosis regarding the nature of the problem, a written summary of the findings and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment, goals and estimated fees. We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions.
